Mangalore: UAE Bunts to Organize Mass Wedding on Jun 3

Mangalore, Mar 8: UAE Bunts mass marriage committee, Dubai, will be organizing a mass wedding programme at A B Shetty auditorium of Bunts Hostel, Mangalore, at 11 am on Sunday June 3.

Ten economically backward couples from the Bunts community will be married off during the event and UAE Bunts will spend Rs 1 lac on each couple.

UAE Bunts veteran donor B R Shetty, chief convener Sarvottam Shetty, Mangalore Matr Sangh president Amaranat Shetty, World Bunts Federation president Malady Ajit Kumar Rai, former president Sadanand Shetty, Alva’s Education Foundation chairman Dr Mohan Alva, and veteran and distinguished individuals among the community will be present on the occasion.

Couples are urged by UAE Bunts to enroll their names latest by Monday April 30.

    Land reforms broke the backbone of the Bunt community.After that education became the only salvation.Bunts Sangha needs to build more colleges and give scholarships.We need to make Ramakrishna College into something Bigger and Grander.Funding is not a problem for the sangha proper planning is.

    Good initiative by Bunts at last.Bunts are one of the poor community after land reform act enforced in Karnataka.Lot of bright students of Bunts are denied of higher education because of reservation system.U.A.E Bunts should take initiative in helping needy community students for higher education.Only higher education can make community strong.
