Mexico City, May 11: Videos from Day 2 of BTS’s concert in Mexico City have gone viral on social media, with fans describing the event as one of the group’s most memorable live performances in recent years.

Nearly nine years after their last visit to Mexico, members RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V and Jungkook returned to the country as part of their “ARIRANG World Tour”.

The seven-member group performed at Estadio GNP Seguros on May 7, 9 and 10.

While all three concerts witnessed massive crowds, Day 2 attracted particular attention, with reports claiming attendance crossed one lakh, including more than 40,000 fans gathered outside the sold-out venue.

Videos circulating online showed thousands of fans singing BTS songs, waving lightsticks, dancing on the streets and turning the surroundings of the stadium into a large fan celebration.

The scenes highlighted the strong bond between BTS and their Mexican fanbase, many of whom had reportedly waited almost a decade for the group’s return.

According to reports citing Ticketmaster, over 2.1 million fans attempted to secure tickets during the pre-sale period, while only around 150,000 seats were available across the three concerts.

Reports further stated that more than 136,000 tickets were sold within an hour, making the concerts among the biggest ticket sale events in Mexico in recent years.

Ahead of the concerts, BTS also met Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum during an official visit to the presidential palace.

Following the meeting, the group reportedly greeted thousands of fans gathered outside the venue.

According to reports, BTS spent around 40 minutes with President Sheinbaum, who praised the group for spreading messages of peace, friendship and hope through their music and global influence.
