Dubai, Jun 16: West Indies captain Hayley Matthews has returned to the top of the ICC Women’s T20I all-rounder rankings, while Indian stars Deepti Sharma and Shree Charani have made significant progress after impressive performances in India’s opening match of the 2026 Women’s T20 World Cup.

Deepti climbed two places to third in the all-rounder rankings after delivering a sensational spell of 5 for 10 against Pakistan at Edgbaston. Her match-winning performance played a pivotal role in India’s emphatic victory and moved her behind Matthews and New Zealand captain Melie Kerr in the latest standings.

Matthews regained the No.1 position following an outstanding all-round display in West Indies’ seven-wicket victory over New Zealand. The Caribbean skipper scored 48 runs and also dismissed former New Zealand captain Sophie Devine, enabling her to overtake Kerr at the top of the rankings.

India also enjoyed major success in the bowling charts, with left-arm spinner Shree Charani climbing five places to a career-best second position. She now trails England spinner Linsey Smith by just five rating points, with Smith continuing to occupy the No.1 spot.

Deepti also recorded a strong rise in the bowling rankings, moving up five places to fifth and further strengthening India's presence among the world's elite T20I bowlers.

The competition at the top remains intense, with only 20 rating points separating the top eight bowlers in the rankings.

Elsewhere, Scotland captain Kathryn Bryce returned to the top 10 in the all-rounders’ rankings after climbing seven places to 10th following her Player of the Match performance against Ireland.

Other notable gainers in the bowling charts included New Zealand fast bowler Jess Kerr, Scotland spinner Katherine Fraser and Bryce.

In the batting rankings, Australia’s Georgia Voll retained her position as the world’s No.1 T20I batter.

South Africa captain Laura Wolvaardt climbed to second place after scoring 44 runs against Australia, moving ahead of Australian star Beth Mooney.

Meanwhile, Australia’s Phoebe Litchfield rose four places to a career-best 10th position following her half-century against South Africa, while England veteran Danni Wyatt-Hodge jumped six spots to 14th after scoring a century against Sri Lanka in the tournament opener.
