Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Jul 1: A shocking incident has been reported at Little Flower School in the Cantonment area of Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, where a 17-year-old minor allegedly attacked a teacher with a knife while coming to collect his transfer certificate (TC).
The teacher sustained serious injuries and is currently undergoing treatment at the Government Medical College and Hospital (GHATI). The incident has created fear among teachers, students and parents at the school.
According to reports, the student had studied at the school until 2023 but had failed in the Class 10 examination, following which he left the school. He had returned on Wednesday to collect his TC when an argument broke out with the teacher over the certificate.

The dispute reportedly escalated within moments, and in a fit of anger, the student allegedly took out a knife he had brought with him and attacked the teacher.
The entire incident was captured on the school’s CCTV cameras. Following the attack, other teachers and staff members rushed to the spot, caught the student and handed him over to the police.
Since the accused is a minor, police have taken him into custody for questioning and further legal proceedings are underway.
Cantonment police station inspector Vivek Jadhav said preliminary investigation revealed that the student had a grievance against the teacher since 2023, alleging that he was deliberately failed in the examination.
Police said the alleged attack was carried out due to the anger that had remained with him over the past incident. The injured teacher’s condition is currently serious, and treatment is ongoing.
The incident has once again raised concerns over safety measures in educational institutions, with discussions underway on the need for stricter preventive steps to avoid such incidents.
