Srinivas University aviation students shine in intercollegiate chess, carrom tournaments

Mangaluru, Oct 6: The students of the Institute of Aviation Studies, Srinivas University, participated in the Srinivas University Intercollegiate Carrom and Chess Tournaments 2026–2027, held on October 3 at Srinivas University, City Campus, Pandeshwar. Organized by the department of physical education and sports, Srinivas University, the tournaments provided an opportunity for students to showcase their strategic skills, teamwork, concentration, and sporting spirit.

In the carrom tournament, Amulya K S and H S Nisha of first year BBA Aviation and Logistics Management secured the first prize, while S Shivani and Chaitra K of second year BBA Aviation Management secured the second runner-up position.

In the chess tournament, Gloria Gabriel Noronha of final year BBA Aviation Management secured the first runner-up position. The students displayed excellent focus, strategic thinking, determination, and competitive spirit throughout the tournaments, bringing pride to the Institute of Aviation Studies.

The Institute of Aviation Studies have congratulated the students on their remarkable achievements and appreciates their dedication, hard work, and sporting spirit. The achievement was made possible through the consistent support, guidance, and encouragement extended by Dr Pavithra Kumari, dean, Institute of Aviation Studies, SWO, HODs, sports coordinators, and faculty members.
