Thane, Jul 4: Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde was admitted to Jupiter Hospital in Thane on Saturday after developing mild fever, fatigue and body aches.

According to sources, Shinde had been experiencing the symptoms since Friday. Acting on the advice of doctors, he was admitted to the hospital as a precautionary measure for medical evaluation and observation.

Doctors are conducting routine medical examinations to assess his health. Hospital sources said his condition is stable and there is no immediate cause for concern.

A team of doctors is closely monitoring his health, and he remains under continuous observation.

Shinde, who heads the Shiv Sena and serves as one of the key leaders of Maharashtra's ruling Mahayuti alliance, has maintained a demanding schedule in recent weeks. He has been attending government meetings, public functions and party programmes across various parts of the state.

Sources indicated that his hospitalisation was purely precautionary to ensure adequate rest and medical supervision following his recent hectic engagements.

No official statement has been issued regarding the expected duration of his stay in hospital. However, officials said he is responding well to treatment and his health condition remains stable.
