Mumbai, Jul 6: Just two days after its digital premiere, Diljit Dosanjh-starrer Satluj has been removed from ZEE5's Indian catalogue, although the film continues to be available for international viewers on ZEE5 Global.
The streaming platform announced the decision through a statement posted on its official Instagram account on Jul. 5, thanking audiences for their support while expressing continued confidence in the film.
"The response to Satluj since its release has been truly overwhelming. We are deeply grateful to every viewer who chose to subscribe, watch and champion the film," the platform said.

Reaffirming its support for the project, ZEE5 added that it remained committed to the film and its creative vision, stating that powerful storytelling has the ability to inspire and leave a lasting impact.
The platform, however, said Satluj would remain unavailable in India "until further notice" because of "current developments," without elaborating on the reasons behind the decision.
ZEE5 also said it would continue to explore all appropriate legal and procedural avenues to restore the film for Indian audiences at the earliest.
Directed by Honey Trehan, Satluj had finally begun streaming on Jul. 3 after facing years of delays and certification-related hurdles that began in late 2022.
Neither ZEE5 nor the makers have disclosed the nature of the developments that led to the film's withdrawal from the Indian platform, and no further clarification had been issued at the time of reporting.
