Dubai, Jul 7: Australia's Beth Mooney has regained the top position in the ICC Women's T20I batter rankings following a stellar performance in the ICC Women's T20 World Cup 2026, where she played a pivotal role in guiding Australia to a record seventh title.

Mooney finished the tournament as both the Player of the Tournament and Player of the Match in the final after scoring 238 runs in six innings at an average of 47.60 and an impressive strike rate of 142.51. Her performances included an unbeaten 61 off 36 balls in the semifinal against the West Indies and a decisive 64 from 49 deliveries in the title clash against England at Lord's.

The left-handed opener now sits atop the rankings with 785 rating points, moving ahead of fellow Australian opener Georgia Voll, who slips to second place with 779 points.

This marks the fifth occasion that Mooney has reached the summit of the Women's T20I batting rankings, placing her among the most successful batters in the format's history. Only former Australian great Karen Rolton has spent more time as the world's top-ranked batter.

South Africa skipper Laura Wolvaardt remains third with 771 rating points, while West Indies captain Hayley Matthews occupies fourth place with 754 points. India's Smriti Mandhana continues to hold fifth position with 746 rating points.

The latest rankings also feature notable gains for several players after the World Cup. South Africa's Tazmin Brits climbed three places to 11th, while England captain Nat Sciver-Brunt jumped five spots to 16th after producing standout performances, including an unbeaten 58 in the final and 75 in the semifinal against South Africa.

India's Sree Charani continues to lead the ICC Women's T20I bowling rankings after an outstanding tournament in which she claimed 14 wickets from five matches. Her performances also earned her a place in the ICC Women's T20 World Cup Team of the Tournament.

England bowlers continue to feature prominently despite the team's runners-up finish. Sophie Ecclestone climbed to second in the bowling rankings with 723 rating points, overtaking teammate Charlie Dean, who slipped to third with 722 points. Lauren Bell dropped one position to fifth, while Linsey Smith retained seventh place.

South African all-rounder Marizanne Kapp entered the top 10 after moving up four places to 10th, thanks to another consistent campaign with the ball.

Australia fast bowler Kim Garth also enjoyed a significant rise, climbing to 15th after contributing strongly to Australia's championship-winning campaign.

England's Freya Kemp made one of the biggest gains in the ICC Women's T20I all-rounder rankings, soaring 31 places to No. 27 following her impactful performances with both bat and ball during the tournament.

In the all-rounders' standings, Australia's Ash Gardner moved up to sixth place, exchanging positions with Pakistan captain Fatima Sana.
