Mangaluru: St Peter's Chapel feast celebrates with devotion at Permannur

Mangaluru, Jul 8: The annual feast of St Peter's Chapel was celebrated on July 5 at St Sebastian Church, Permannur. The Holy Mass was celebrated by Fr Jagadish Pinto. The parish priest, Fr Andrew Leo D'Souza, assistant parish priest Fr Melvin D'Souza, and the chaplain of Ullal Nirmala Convent, Fr Valerian Pinto, concelebrated the Eucharistic mass.

Following the mass, a stage programme was organized. The vice president of the Parish Pastoral Council, Arun D'Souza, Commission coordinator Dolphy D'Souza, and former coordinator of the Small Christian Community, Thomas Veigas, were present. Naveeta and Rincia welcomed the gathered crowd with a welcome dance, and Prem Prakash D'Souza, president of the prayer hall, extended a warm welcome to everyone.

During the event, a formal felicitation was conducted by the dignitaries on stage to honor Harry D'Souza, Louis L D'Souza, Rufina Veigas, Rita D'Souza, and Flashny D'Souza, who was recently elected as the secretary of the YCS Mangalore Central Committee. Cynthia D'Souza and Victor D'Souza introduced the felicitated guests to the audience.

Around 400 people attended this spiritual event, and arrangements for dinner were made for all. Members of the Netravati Meenugarara Sangha offered their services as volunteers. Molly Monteiro, the secretary of the prayer hall, proposed the vote of thanks, and Demetrius D'Souza compered the entire event.
