Mangaluru, Jul 11: A significant milestone in the field of civil services education was marked with the grand inauguration of Mangalore IAS – A School for Civil Services at the Sandesha Foundation, Mangaluru, on Saturday. The event witnessed the presence of eminent dignitaries, educationists, media personalities, academicians, students, parents, and civil services aspirants from across the region.

The programme commenced with the ribbon-cutting ceremony by Dr Henry D'Souza, bishop of Bellary and chairman of Sandesha Foundation, followed by the traditional lighting of the lamp by Swami Yugeshananda of Ramakrishna Math, Mangaluru, invoking blessings for the institution's successful journey.

Welcoming the gathering, Fr Roshan Rosario, director of Sandesha Foundation, expressed his happiness over the launch of Mangalore IAS and emphasized the foundation's commitment to empowering youth through quality education and value-based learning.

Introducing the institution, Santhosh Kumar S, founder of Mangalore IAS, shared the vision behind establishing the academy. He explained that Mangalore IAS aims to provide world-class coaching, expert mentorship, systematic guidance, and personality development for aspirants preparing for UPSC, KPSC, and other competitive examinations, making quality civil services coaching accessible within coastal Karnataka.

Delivering the inaugural address, Dr Henry D'Souza urged students to pursue civil services not merely as a career but as a noble mission to serve society and the nation. He stressed the importance of integrity, discipline, compassion, and ethical leadership in public administration.

In his highly inspiring address, Swami Yugeshananda encouraged aspirants to cultivate self-belief, perseverance, inner strength, and a positive mindset. He reminded students that success is achieved through consistent effort, patience, and unwavering dedication, inspiring the audience to remain focused on their dreams despite challenges.

One of the highlights of the programme was the motivational address by Walter D'Souza Nandalike, managing director of Daijiworld media group. His powerful and energetic speech deeply resonated with the audience as he encouraged students to dream big, believe in their abilities, embrace hard work, and never allow fear of failure to limit their aspirations. He emphasized that determination, continuous learning, discipline, and the willingness to overcome obstacles are the true foundations of success. Speaking on the occasion, Roy Castelino, trustee of Sandesha Foundation and coordinator of Mangalore IAS, highlighted the institution's long-term vision of nurturing competent, ethical, and socially responsible civil servants. He expressed confidence that Mangalore IAS would emerge as a premier destination for civil services coaching in coastal Karnataka, enabling talented youth to prepare for competitive examinations without having to migrate to metropolitan cities.

The motivational messages delivered by all the speakers created an atmosphere of optimism, confidence, and purpose. Aspirants appreciated the practical guidance, inspiring experiences, and valuable life lessons shared during the programme, making the inauguration not just the launch of an institution but the beginning of a transformational journey for many future civil servants.

The programme concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks by Roy Castelino, who acknowledged the contributions of all dignitaries, guests, supporters, faculty members, volunteers, media representatives, and participants for making the inaugural event a grand success. The event concluded with the national anthem followed by refreshments.
