Mangalore, Mar 22: A truck which lost control due to a break failure, rammed into a Hyundai Santro Zing car and also hit the electric pole near by over the road divider near Omega hospital gate, Pumpwell, here on Thursday March 22 at 3.20 pm.
The truck bearing the registration KA 19 3360 named 'KISWA' was carrying rice from the Pandeshwar Goods Shed to the Maroli rice godown. The car registered KA 19 P 8153 was on its way towards Pumpwell from Kankanady. As the car stopped near the road diversion path in front of the hospital, the truck hit it as the brakes failed.
Everyone in the car escaped injuries.
Traffic police rushed to the spot and made arrangements for the smooth flow of traffic.
A case is yet to be registered.
