Bantwal: Speeding Motorcyclist Kills Pedestrian

Bantwal, Mar 23: A pedestrian was killed by a speeding motor cycle in Kandoor in Sajipamuda gram panchayat on Wednesday March 21.
 
The deceased has been identified as 19-year-old Basavaraju, a native of Soorapur taluk of Gulbarga district.  Basavaraju was working as cleaner of an earthmover and was going to have food along with a colleague to a nearby restaurant on Wednesday night, when he was knocked down by a speeding motorcycle.
 
The critically injured Basavaraju was taken at once to the hospital where he was pronounced dead by the doctors.
 
The motorcyclist and pillion rider were also injured and were treated at the hospital. Town police registered a case in this regard.
