Catholic Sabha Nirkan extends scholarship support to deserving students

Bantwal, Aug 21: Catholic Sabha Mangalore Pradesh (R), Nirkan unit, under St Thomas the Apostle Church, Nirkan, extended financial support towards the education of deserving students of St Thomas School, Nirkan, through its scholarship support initiative.

The amount collected through the generous contributions of well-wishers and benefactors was handed over by Rayan Vas, president of Catholic Sabha Nirkan unit, to Sr Severine Fernandes, headmistress of St Thomas School, Nirkan, during the Independence Day celebration held at the school on August 15. The amount will be distributed by the headmistress as scholarships to deserving students of the school.

Fr Anil Roshan Lobo, spiritual director of Catholic Sabha Nirkan unit, and Alphonse Fernandes, treasurer of Catholic Sabha Nirkan unit, were present on the occasion along with the unit president.

The initiative was undertaken with the aim of supporting students in their educational journey and assisting those in need. The entire amount collected through the initiative has been dedicated towards scholarships for deserving students.

Through this meaningful initiative, the Catholic Sabha Nirkan unit put into practice its 'Service, Sacrifice and Unity', reflecting its commitment to education, service and the welfare of the community.

The Catholic Sabha Nirkan unit expressed its sincere gratitude to all the donors, well-wishers and supporters whose generous contributions made this noble initiative possible.
