Mangaluru, Aug 21: The Ladies Social Service League (LSSL) celebrated its Thanksgiving Day on August 20 with gratitude to Almighty God for His blessings and guidance throughout the year.
As part of the celebration, LSSL members visited St Joseph Higher Primary School Calvary Nanthoor, in the morning and conducted a special programme for around 40 children. The children participated in an interactive session on self-esteem, self-development, self-care and gratitude. Stationery pouches and eatables were distributed to all the children as a gesture of love and care.















The Thanksgiving celebration was held in the evening at Bendur Parish Hall. The programme was graced by Fr Praveen Amrith Martis, main spiritual director of LSSL and administrator of St Anthony’s Ashram, and Fr Arun Lobo, spiritual director of Bendur and principal of Padua School. Vice president Deepak D'Souza, All Commission convenor Loy Rego, the presidents of the six LSSL units, office bearers and members participated in the celebration.
Flany D'Souza, president of LSSL, welcomed the gathering, while Diana D'Souza compered the programme. Philomena Moras presented the annual report, highlighting the various activities and services undertaken by the League during the year.
The dignitaries appreciated the dedication and service of LSSL members and encouraged them to continue their charitable and social activities. The gathering also enjoyed a humorous session and games, creating an atmosphere of joy and fellowship.
Janet D'Silva proposed the vote of thanks. The celebration concluded with refreshments and fellowship, leaving the members with renewed gratitude and happiness.
The Thanksgiving Day beautifully reflected the spirit of LSSL—gratitude expressed through faith, fellowship and loving service to others.
