M'lore: 'Kulshekar Brothers' Win Cricket Tourney Held by Urwa Friends Cultural Assn

Mangalore, Mar 27: Urwa Friends Cultural Association has been conducting cricket tournaments every year at Urwa grounds. It comprises of a tournament of two weeks including 16 teams of 10 overs each.

'Kulshekar Brothers', who won the tournament this year, have been winning the trophy from the past eight years.

The trophy was accepted by captain of 'Brothers Kulshekar' team, Jeevan Vas, Kulshekar. 

The finals this year were played between UFCA and 'Brothers Kulshekar'. The tournament was won by 'Kulshekar Brothers'. The team includes Jeevas Vas, Naveen, Percee, Sadha, Sudhir, Praveen, Iqbal, Babu, Nazim, Machu, Kusappa and Richard.

Naveen was given the titles 'Best Batsman' and 'Man of the match'. 'Brothers Kulshekar' scored 84 runs in the limited 10 overs and UFCA were all-out for 70.

Vijay Prakash, Manoj Saripalla and Harikrishna Bantwal were the chief guests for the prize distribution ceremony held on Sunday March 25.
