Srinagar, Sep 4: An IndiGo flight operating from Navi Mumbai to Srinagar collided with a parking pole while being positioned at Srinagar International Airport on Friday morning. No injuries were reported.

The incident involved IndiGo flight 6E 225, operated by aircraft VT-NOG. According to airport officials, the aircraft collided with a Visual Docking Guidance System (VDGS) pole at around 9.02 am while being positioned at Bay No. 6.

All passengers and crew members were safely deboarded from the aircraft using manual stairs, airport authorities said.

A detailed inquiry has been ordered to determine the circumstances leading to the incident. Authorities said the exact cause would be established after completion of the investigation and that no conclusions were being drawn at this stage.

Airport operations remained normal, with flight arrivals and departures continuing as scheduled.

The incident comes a day after another IndiGo flight was diverted to Muscat after a pilot reportedly fell ill during the Doha-Bengaluru service.

Flight 6E 1302, operated by an A321 aircraft, was diverted to Muscat on Thursday after one of the operating crew members required urgent medical attention.

The crew member was attended to by a medical team after landing and was reported to be feeling better. IndiGo arranged an alternative aircraft and a new crew to continue the journey to Bengaluru.

The airline said an investigation into the incident would be conducted.
