Mangalore, Mar 29: Thieves are getting bolder and smarter. Daylight thefts seem to have become common nowadays, and Wednesday March 28 witnessed yet another such case.
Qamruddin, a resident of Falnir, was shocked to find that thieves stole away Rs 3.5 lac from his locked car, which he had parked outside a bank and gone into the bank for some work.
He had left his Ritz car outside the State Bank of India in Valencia, and was in the bank for some minutes. When he returned, he found that thieves had neatly cut open the glass of his car window and disppeared with a bag containing Rs 3.5 lac, which he had placed in the front passenger seat.
The daylight robbery has stupefied Qamruddin as well as the police.
Pandeshwar police have registered a case.
