Mumbai, Sep 25: Siddharth Malhotra and Tamannaah Bhatia-starrer The Vann is set to release in theatres, with the film recording a steady response in advance bookings ahead of its opening day.

The film has sold more than 35,000 tickets across the two major national cinema chains, PVR INOX and Cinepolis, for its opening day. Advance bookings have reportedly been stronger at single-screen theatres, particularly in Bihar.

The film's Chhath Puja backdrop is expected to help its performance in Bihar, where advance sales have been comparatively strong. Based on current advance trends, trade estimates suggest that The Vann could record an opening of around Rs 7 crore net.

Directed by Deepak Kumar Mishra, the mythological fantasy drama has generated interest among audiences ahead of its release. Bihar is expected to be among the film's key markets.

The film's eventual box-office performance will depend on audience response and word-of-mouth following its release. A positive reception could lead to stronger collections in the coming days.

The Vann will also face competition from Avengers: Endgame – Encore, which has returned to Indian theatres. Despite being a re-release, the Marvel film has recorded notable advance sales, indicating continued audience interest.
