Mangalore: Workshop on Physiotherapy Held at Nitte Institute of Physiotherapy

Mangalore, Apr 2: As part of the 15 anniversary celebrations of Nitte Institute of Physiotherapy, a day-long workshop was held recently. Dr. Padmanabhan, a well known physical therapist from UK was the resource person for the topic of ‘Muscular dysfunction and motor control’.

The workshop was inaugurated by Nitte University chancellor Vinaya Hedge, who exhorted the practitioners of the discipline to excel in the profession. He also pledged that the Nitte University will spare no effort in taking the NIPT to greater heights.

Dr Arunachalam Kumar, dean, K S Hegde Medical Academy who was the chief guest, said that the specialty of physiotherapy had a great role to play in minimizing hospital stay and medical expenses. He mentioned that the base concept of healing was propounded ages ago in India as a therapeutic aid.

Dr H R Rai, director of the NIPT welcomed the gathering from all over the state and other parts of south India. Dr Mohammed Faisal, vice principal proposed the vote of thanks.

A slide show on the history and progress made by the institute was projected on the occasion.

    Great work done by the college and the management, To bring out workshop on awareness of new concepts in physiotherapy... Iam an alumnus of the college. It really makes me proud that I too came out from this college .
