Beltangady, Apr 3: Hemavati Heggade, trustee of Sri Kshetra Dharmasthala Rural Development Project (SKDRDP), recently toured Tumkur district to review the progress of self-help-groups promoted by SKDRDP and also attended the inaugural of Pragatibandu Self-Help-Groups Federation in Turuvekere, Chikkanayakanahalli, Kunigal, and Madugiri.

Speaking at the inaugural of the Federation in Muniyoor–Turuvekere, Hemavati Heggade urged the self-help-groups members to enhance their general knowledge.

After inaugurating the district-level Jnana Vikasa Kendra in Hebboor, Turuvekere taluk, Hemavati stressed the need to enhance knowledge by women in order to play a key role in the family’s economic development.

The books donated by Infosys Foundation were distributed to Jnana Vikas Kendra on the same occasion.

During the inaugural of Pragatibandhu Federation at Chikkanayakanahalli, she suggested ways and methods to improve the financial position of families through the Federation.

Hemavati also offered guidance to SKDRDP overseers and animators in realizing the objectives of self-empowerment.
