Shah Rukh Khan greets fans outside Mannat on 61st birthday

Mumbai, Nov 2: Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan greeted his fans outside his bungalow, Mannat, in Mumbai's Bandra area on his 61st birthday.

The actor, dressed in a white T-shirt and denims, made his customary appearance outside his residence to greet fans who had gathered to celebrate the occasion. As he does every year, Shah Rukh struck his iconic pose with one arm outstretched, soaking in the cheers and affection of his admirers.

However, this year's appearance was different as the actor maintained a greater distance from the crowd. While he would earlier greet fans from near the gate of Mannat, this time he chose to stay comparatively farther away, reportedly in view of the prevailing law and order concerns following recent firing incidents targeting high-profile personalities in the city.

Recently, actor Tiger Shroff was reportedly targeted in a firing incident in Mumbai's Juhu area. Three motorcycle-borne men allegedly opened fire at his car on October 19. While the actor was reported to be safe, his driver sustained injuries.

Within hours of the incident, the Lawrence Bishnoi gang claimed responsibility for the attack in a social media post. Mumbai Police formed 15 special teams to investigate the firing. Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis also contacted the Mumbai Police Commissioner and directed him to conduct an immediate investigation and take strict action against those responsible.

Shah Rukh's fellow superstar Salman Khan has also reportedly been a target of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. The blackbuck case is cited as the reason behind the long-standing hostility between Salman Khan and the gang.
