Jaipur, Nov 5: Five people, including a father and his six-year-old son, were killed in two separate road accidents in Rajasthan on Thursday, while another youth sustained serious injuries.

In the first incident, two young men were killed and another seriously injured after a speeding trailer rammed into their motorcycle near Surajpura village on the Sarwar-Kekri road in Ajmer district.

The impact was so severe that two of the victims were trapped beneath the trailer and remained pinned for nearly 15 to 20 minutes. The accident triggered panic in the area, with a large number of local residents gathering at the spot.

According to officials, three youths, all residents of Sarwar, were travelling towards Kekri on a motorcycle in the morning when a speeding trailer coming from the opposite direction collided head-on with their vehicle near Surajpura village.

All three riders were thrown onto the road due to the impact. Two of them were crushed beneath the trailer and died on the spot, while the third sustained serious injuries. Local residents rushed to the spot and joined the rescue efforts.

The deceased were identified as Farooq Ansari and Mustagim Ansari, a government schoolteacher, both residents of Sarwar. The injured youth was identified as Nasruddin Pathan, a para-teacher from the same area.

Sarwar Station House Officer Rampal Sharma reached the spot along with a police team after receiving information about the accident. The police supervised the rescue operation and arranged medical assistance for the injured youth. He was initially given first aid before being referred to Ajmer for further treatment.

Meanwhile, local residents alleged that the trailer driver was under the influence of alcohol at the time of the accident. Police have initiated an investigation to ascertain the exact circumstances leading to the collision.

In another accident, a 25-year-old man and his six-year-old son were killed after a tractor and motorcycle collided head-on at Barwala village in the Makrana area of Nagaur district.
