Udupi: Failed Burglary Attempt at Syndicate Bank Branch

Udupi, May 10: A failed burglary attempt at the Syndicate Bank branch of Madhwa Nagar, Padubelle, took place on the night of Tuesday May 8.
 
The burglars climbed a 10 feet high wall and entered the branch bending the iron bars of the window.  Once they were inside, they tried to ransack through the drawers and the siren began to blare. The terrified burglars abandoned the equipment and accessories used to enter the premises and fled.


The burglary was reported by the branch manager on the morning of Wednesday May 9 when the preparations were underway to transact daily business.
 
SP Dr Boralingayya, Tahsildar Abhijin, circle inspector Shivanand Valekar, and Shirva sub-inspector K R Naik visited the spot along with fingerprint experts.
 
Shirva police registered a case in this regard and investigations are underway.
