Bantwal, May 14: The newly-refurbished Church of Mother of God, Mogarnad, near here, was inaugurated on Sunday May 13.
Bishop Dr Aloysius Paul D’Souza blessed the church at 4.30 pm on Sunday followed by Holy Mass.
The Bishop presided over the Holy Mass along with Mogarnad parish priest Fr Leo Lobo, Bantwal deanery vicar Fr Rocky D’Souza, and other clergies on the occasion.
Bishop D’Souza felicitated Fr Lobo on his silver jubilee anniversary of priesthood during the stage programme held after the Holy Mass.
Mogarnad parish council vice-president Antony D’Souza and secretary Anil Crasta were present on the dais.
A large number of parishioners were present on the occasion.
