Udupi: Miscreants Fire at Bakery - No Casualties

Udupi, May 18: Two masked miscreants arrived on a two-wheeler and fired at 'Adarsha' bakery near Ambagilu, here on Thursday, May 17 night. It is learnt that the miscreants had targeted its owner Leo Cornelio. But Leo was not present during the shoot-out, his brother Ashok Cornelio was in the bakery.

Sources tell Daijiworld that only some edible items like bread, biscuits have been damaged, none were injured during the incident.

According to the eyewitness, both miscreants fled the scene within no time as they realized people watching them. Number plate of the two-wheeler was not in visible mode.

Police suspect reason could be extortion from underworld elements.

Local police officials’ immediately rushed to the spot. The investigation is on.

    It is high time people invest few thousand rupees to install survillance camera around their establishment! Odd minority in police force should be convinced not to support anti social.
