Beltangady: Motorcyclist Dies in Collision With Pick-up Truck

Beltangady, May 19: A motorcyclist was instantly killed in a collision with a pick-up truck near Badyar on Friday May 18.

The deceased has been identified as 27-year-old Asif, a native of Sastan in Kundapur taluk.  He was on his way to drop one of the guests who had arrived to attend circumcision ceremony of his nephew at the bus stop in Aladangady, when the motorcycle collided with an oncoming pick-up mini-truck at the intersection of Mahalingeshwar Temple, Shirlalu, Bailadka Road.
 
Circle inspector Bhaskar Rai and sub-inspector Umesh Uppalike visited the spot.
 
Venoor police registered a case in this regard.
