Udupi: Advanced Cancer Treatment Information Camp Held at Shirva

Udupi, May 21: A free medical camp was organized by USWAS-SHIRVA (UAE) (an association of Shirva parishioners residing in UAE) in co-ordination with Shirva church women’s association on Sunday May 20, at 9.30 am in Don Bosco English Medium School, Shirva.

This medical camp was organized as part of decennial year celebrations of USWAS on advanced cancer treatment information and free check up by doctors from Father Muller’s Hospital, Kankanady.

Fr Stany Tauro, parish priest of our Lady of Health Church, addressed the gathering after formally inaugurating the medical camp. He praised the committee members of USWAS for their dedicated services for various causes. He also lauded the efforts of catholic women's association for organizing this event.

Leena Machado compered the programme. Shirva catholic women association president Jacintha D’Souza welcomed the gathering and secretary Anitha Saldana proposed the vote of thanks.  USWAS committee member, Francis Machado and representative Grynal D’Mello were also present during the event.

In all, 300 people took part in this informative event.
