'Himmatwala' Mahurat Live Relay No Publicity Stunt: Sajid

Mumbai, Aug 21 (IANS): Showing the mahurat shot of "Himmatwala" live on YouTube is not a publicity stunt, says director Sajid Khan and adds that he is just trying to involve his audiences.

"Yes, we will be screening it live on You Tube, but this is not an event. It's a mahurat ceremony which will be shown live to the audience," Khan told IANS.

The mahurat will be held Wednesday at 1 p.m. at the Ramoji Film City in Hyderabad.

When asked whether stars are invited, Khan said: "It's not a party. There are no guests or anything."

"I make my films for my audience. I have always maintained this through all my films. I want them to feel involved in the film right from the first shot," he added.

An official remake of Jeetendra-Sridevi starrer 1980 hit film "Himmatwala", Khan's version features Ajay Devgn and Tamannaah in the lead role and Paresh Rawal, Prakash Raj and Adhyayan Suman will also feature in it.

It is scheduled for a release next year.

"I don't need to promote the film from now on. But yes, I will be interacting with my audience throughout the making of the film," said the director of hits like "Housefull" and "Housefull 2: The Dirty Dozen".
