Mangalore: National Level Cultural Event Inaugurated at Besant

Mangalore, Sep 6: A national level inter-collegiate talents competition was inaugurated at the Besant Women’s college on September 6.

The theme ‘Culture Crisol’ will be highlighted in a variety of events like dances, group discussions, documentary and a general quiz. ‘Bequest-A quest for the best’ will be carried out on September 6 and September 7.



























































The chief guest of the function was Shylaja Rao, COO Robosoft Technologies, Udupi. The programme was also attended by Kudpi Jagadish Shenoy, president of Women’s Educational Society, Mangalore.

The programme began with a prayer song followed by the welcome address by Dr Manjula K T, principal, Besant Women’s College.
Students were advised by the dignitaries to showcase their talents at such occasions especially while they are studying in the college.

They also advised the faculty to help students to bring out their inner expressions and help them to be expressed in different forms.

The vote of thanks was delivered by Dr Sudha K student welfare officer. Shylaja Rao also unmasked the trophies for the events.

    I felt very happy seeing my lecturers who taught me in 1991-1993 are still teaching in Besant.
