Bangalore, Sep 10: A day after Bettanagere Seena was gunned down by police in an encounter, the bloody war continued as two associates of Bettanagere Shankara, (arch rival of Seena), were shot dead by the family members of the farmhouse owner in Kudur village in Ramnagar police station on Sunday September 9 night.
The deceased identified as Siddaraju and Sunil, accompanied by their associates, stormed into the farmhouse of Shivanna, a businessman from Ramnagar, demanding Rs 1 lac.
The accomplice said they had come at the behest of their boss, Shankara, who sitting in jail, asked them to collect money from Shivanna as his contribution to bail him out.
When Shivanna expressed his helplessness to arrange the huge amount in such a short span, the goons threatened him with dire consequences, only to return later with other accomplices.
The group soon created ruckus and ransacked the farmhouse damaging vehicles and furniture, hurtling abuses at Shivanna for disobeying Shankara.
Meanwhile, Shivanna's two sons, who were at the farmhouse, unable to bear the humiliation meted out to their father, pulled out licensed weapon from the house and started firing at the gang.
While the gang started running helter-skelter to save their lives, Siddaraju and Sunila were shot and died on the spot.
Shivanna soon informed the police who rushed to the spot and seized the weapons. Senior police officers arrived at the spot and conducted investigations.
Despite police managing to gun down Seena, the torment on businessmen and relaters living in and around Bangalore district continued as Shankara who emerged the undisputed don began to take control of the area where Seena was having control.
