They start bus when u have kept ur first leg on footboard. It is ok for youth like us but what abt senior citizens and women in sarees...it is like holding/hanging on to a rope like tarzan or spiderman! When i'm in native place i've argued with driver/conductor abt speed and ticket charge increasing every time i go there. But they give that "we don't care look" as if seeing an outsider! And other passengers keep their mouthshut as if put avalakki poha in their mouths. So i'm also keeping quite in recent times.

Earlier the 2 lanes never caused so many accidents on this stretch of road i.e udupi to mangalore as many as its creating now.:( high time the authorities do something before some major accident or else these reckless drivers will continue to use this stretch as a racing track speeding the buses to their limits risking so many lives including theirs.

I think it is only appropriate for KSRTC to take control of this route and start plying KSRTC buses. All said and done, KSRTC buses are more safe than these private buses.

In the rush for making money, maim and murder innocent passengers. I think only a brutal accident of RTO family will open their eyes for traffic safety on NH66.

Dear friends,it is not fault of drivers, dont blame them always....the fault of who made the rules, to reach busses on short time.. that reason drivers are driving rashely to reach the place on time.so all people are think to whom we should blame?? so rules are not perfect!!

People who travel on mangalore roads should have a good life insurance and good luck.a guardien angel. If Police control speed here and there and punish them they will be careful.if like in Germany if driver goes against the rules gets points and after certain points looses driving licence.as well talking on phone is verbidden gets points if he is caught red handed. whereas in India police also is a delicate matter.in Bus itself is a speedcontrol is installed even by the lorrys specially on highways its important.sometimes you wonder whether all drivers have a permit . god help us.

Accidents are very common and frequent in Mangalore. Bus drivers are not bothered about the safety of the passengers. They are only concerned about timing and racing.God please save us.

A strong suggestion to the road transport authorities (RTA) to cancel the road permit of SNDP since most of the time SNDP is found to be at fault driving very rash without considering safety of passengers and assets on the road

Cancel the Licence of that perticular bus service at least for one year, then only the owner of buses will get a lesson. Drivers are playing with the life of passengers because the owners want more collection.

Dear friends, if my memory is correct, this is the second such accident involving SNDP bus in as many as 2 weeks. SNDP is known for notorious driving and it is time for all passengers to boycott this bus completely so that not only SNDP but also others can behave properly. Not so long ago, I was traveling from Mangalore to Udupi and the driver was talking on the mobile phone for as long as from Suratkal to Kaup and the topic was another bus competing on the same route around the same time. After watching the driver speaking on the phone for so long, i lost my patience and told the driver to stop the bus and then warned him to stop talking while driving, which he had to oblige. All 40 odd passengers were watching me with astonishment as they perhaps saw something like that for the first time. We public must intervene when drivers risk the lives of so many passengers.

"Case has been registered in the Kaup police station" by whom and against whom.

If at all a case has to be registered, in the first place it should be against the RTO. then followed by the police authorities, then against our legal system who indirectly supports the culptrits.

If any action has to be taken, If RTO is dare to do it, let him take action by cancelling the permit of this bus and similar buses which involves in such incidents.

More importantly, we the public are equally resposible for such incidents. Whenever someone trying to resist or retaliate, others just become spectators rather than supporting one right and responsible person.

I had similar experience and no one came forward to support. Today everybody is for himself, become very selfish and narrow minded, where expects improvement in the system but not supporting for the improvement.
