Bhatkal, Sep 23: Two women, a girl and four children of a family from Bhatkal have gone missing in Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh.

The missing have been identified as Bibi Fathima (25), wife of Imran Mashayik, a resident of Bhatkal Maghdum Colony, their children Irfan Mashayik (4) and Khadija Amreen (4 months); Fathima's sister Salma Saiyyad Afsar (23) and her children Saiyyad Sabir Afsar (4) and Saiyyad Bashira (2); and their relative Syeda Hajibee aka Sanni (15).

A case has been registered at the Vijaywada No 2 police station, said Imran Mashayik.

On September 1, all seven left for Fathima’s parental house in Vijayawada after they came to know that her mother was unwell.

They were supposed to return to Bhatkal by the 9 pm train via Guntkal, Hubli route. When the family members did not return, Imran spoke to his mother-in-law and learnt that they had left for Bhatkal two days ago. He then informed the police.

No clues have been obtained about the missing members yet. The entire Bhatkal Maghdum Colony is in a state of shock and disbelief.

Speaking to daijiworld, Imran said that the family was happy, peaceful and had no internal problems. He also said that no case had been registered in the Bhatkal police station, but Fathima’s parents have filed a complaint at the Vijayawada police station in this regard.

Shivaprasad Rao, Vijayawada police inspector said that the complaint had been registered on Saturday September 22 and assured that the case will be solved within a week.

Seven ladies and children going missing in one shot is very mysterious!!

I do not understand, today with the ease of mobile connectivity, why Imran was not in touch with his loving wife and small toddler children at least once in a day? Why a time lag of two days?

It is a rare probability that all seven 5 among them children could have conspired to run away!!

I am pretty sure the culprits will be in the net in a few days!!

Wish and pray that the missing come back safely to their houses!!

It is weird. Looks like something fishy.

How come so much number of family members, mostly women and children taking a two-day train journey without a male accompaniment? Practically, it is hard to manage the kids on train if elderly persons are not there to support the women.

Hope Railway Police would be of mcuh help, if they have really boarded the train. A thorough investigation would bring the truth out.
