Mangalore: Management Guru Shiv Khera Flays Caste-based Reservation

Daijiworld Media Network – Mangalore (PS)

Mangalore, Sep 30:
Motivational speaker and management guru Shiv Khera on Sunday September 30 said that caste-based reservation policy of the government was the main reason for the problems affecting the country.

He was in the city to address a management session organized at TMA Pai Convention Hall here on Sunday September 30.

Prior to the session addressing a press conference he said that if reservation based on caste is abolished, issues hampering the country could be resolved.

He said that 50 percent of the government schools do not have blackboards and 90 percent of the teachers in government schools would not have passed matriculation. He added that 90 percent of the graduates are not employable due to poor quality education. "Information obtained by children in schools and colleges need not necessarily be called education."

Coming down on corruption, he said that he has filed public interest litigations in the apex court to bring an option to reject a contestant by choosing ‘none of the above’, to bring a witness protection plan as many of the cases go on more than 5 years, to cancel caste based reservation and to take a call on Chief Justices of India, as he said 8 of the 16 Chief Justices are corrupt.

"The next CM of Assam may be from Bangladesh if action is not taken against infiltrators as two cr infiltrators have landed in India from Bangladesh," he said.

Reservation may be acceptable only at school level. But here there is reservation at the education level, then when applying for a job and then promotion also. There are families of backward class where the father, mother and all the children are having Govt. jobs because of reservation and yet the second generation is eligible for reservation! What about the other people? They are now downtrodden by the backward class.

Caste based reservation should be removed from Temple Priest... this was created by dominated hindhus not by the politician.

I am completely against caste based reservation in which ever country it may be. Reservations should be given to poor or to those are deprived financially. As Shiv Kher says there is a ned to provide basic facilitites to those in need. I am sure this comment will get a lot of responses 'you are not a dalit so you can say these things'. Caste based reservations increases already existing distance/distastefulness among all the castes.
Being born in a certain caste should not be a previledge.

Yes. Shiv Khera is right. Because of this curse of reservation in educational institutions no Indian universitity finds place in the list of top 200 universities of the world. Thanks to Ambedkar, whom readers of the Outlook magazine recently voted as the greatest Indian after Gandhi. Nehru's dream and vision for a vibrant India have been shattered. In modern 'reservation' India diamonds are dimmed and pebbles are polished.

Hello Mr.Kishore..Think differently..Reservation in a small country like ireland doesn't effect as they have only 2 religions to be given reservation. but in India..Think...per Sq.Km there is a caste. If reservation system is removed and jobs given only on mertits and abilities .. then india would be in a great position.. it wont be in a developing countries list... Dalit etc... is simply a way of exploiting the other non reservations caste peolple.. THINK DEEply Mr.Kishore.Mr.Kera is absolutuely right...

Shiv Khera is what he is today bcos he is NOT a dalit. Or else he would have been a clerk in some local municipality sucking peoples blood. Our respected A Raja when arrested said that he is being targeted bcos he is a dalit. He forgot that he is an MP and a minister only bcos he is a dalit.
Reservation should be given in Govt. jobs only to people who are differently abled. They are the only ones who deserve it. Caste based reservation has only ruined the careers of qualified people of our country. Its plain stupidity to compare India with Ireland.

What can you expect from a person like shiv khera who is neither born in a Dalit nor in a Backward caste? Even in Ireland there is resevations for protestants and catholics in every department who form majority of population.
