Chennai, Aug 21: The makers of director Nelson Dilipkumar’s much-awaited action entertainer ‘Jailer 2’, starring Superstar Rajinikanth in the lead, on Friday released the film’s first single ‘Ala Bolelo’, much to the delight of fans and film buffs.
Sun Pictures, which is producing the film, shared the link to the lyrical video on its social media platforms.
“Ala bolelo, Jilla bolelo, Jithala bolelo, Jinthakka bolelo!?? #AlaBolelo fever begins, Lyric Video is out now! #Jailer2,” the production house posted.
The foot-tapping track has been composed by music director Anirudh Ravichander, who has also lent his voice to the song. The lyrics have been penned by director and lyricist Arunraja Kamaraj.
However, it is choreographer Jani Master’s choreography that stands out in the lyrical video. Actress Shamna Kasim’s graceful performance, with her moves synchronised with those of the accompanying dancers, has also drawn attention.
The choreography is expected to become one of the major talking points surrounding the song, alongside Anirudh’s energetic composition.
A day before the song’s release, Shamna Kasim had expressed her happiness and gratitude at being part of ‘Jailer 2’.
Taking to Instagram, the actress said she was “truly overwhelmed with happiness and gratitude” to be part of the prestigious film.
She thanked Rajinikanth, Nelson Dilipkumar, Anirudh Ravichander, Jani Master and the entire ‘Jailer 2’ team for the opportunity, and described her involvement in the project as an unforgettable dream come true.
The film is slated to release worldwide on October 15, 2026.
The makers had earlier unveiled a release-date announcement teaser featuring actor Vinayakan, who was seen issuing a threat while laughing.
“You can't be at peace after killing me. There's a big world behind me, Jailer! This is a huge network. You won't know who is coming (for you), when and how. Your life will turn into hell.”
The teaser then featured Rajinikanth’s stylish entry and offered glimpses of several other characters in the film.
‘Jailer 2’ has generated considerable anticipation among fans and the general audience since the project was first announced.
In April, the makers announced that filming had been completed and shared pictures from a cake-cutting ceremony held to mark the completion of the shoot.
