Kundapur, Oct 23:
A 26-year-old youth had a providential escape after he fell off the moving Netravati Express near Nada railway road here on Tuesday October  23.

The youth, identified as Vinay (26) is a resident of Rajajinagar, Bangalore. He was carrying out interior designing projects for buildings and was employed as an engineer for a restaurant in Goa.

It is learnt that as Vinay did not get the ticket to travel to Bangalore by bus, he took a general ticket from Goa to Mangalore on Netravati Express and had planned to take a bus to Bangalore from Mangalore. He was traveling back home on the occasion of Vijayadashami.

The train left Goa at around 12.30 am, and when it reached Nada in Kundapur taluk at around 4 am, Vinay reportedly felt someone push him.

Vinay has lost a gold chain, a wallet and his gold ring. The injured Vinay was lying alone till 7 am, as no one noticed him by the side of the railway track. He sustained serious head injuries and was not able to move, it is learnt.

At around 7 in the morning the railway track inspection personnel, spotted Vinay and informed Shreedhar Badakere, a local. As Shreedhar was away from town, he informed his friends Gopala Krishna and Shivananda Bhandary of Nada. Volunteers of Sahayavani 24/7 in Gangolli took Vinay in their ambulance and admitted him to Chinmayee hospital in Kundapur.

No response from 108

Gopal Krishna on arriving at the spot tried calling 108 service, however, there was no immediate response. Sahayavani 24/7 volunteers then arrived at the spot and admitted the injured to the hospital. Local people wholeheartedly appreciated the work of Sahayavani.

There are people who travel with out ticket not trace for those who use these culprits. Consider with out ticket travailing seriously and any one caught investigate every minute detail don't let go just paying fine. Only cc tv is the right answer nothing else because police eyes are not every where and hand of the law never moves with out evidence.

Fixing cc tv and maintaining it is much cheaper then fixing the door to the railway coaches. Regular open and close doors need lots of maintenance, work force and spare parts. Today's web cam is a child's play. Make it must to install cc tv along side of lights not only in the train but also in public buses. Modern day cc tv cams can be hidden behind half inch diameter lance just like ATM machines. This is the only way to fight crime with the proper evidence, some cases people know the culprit but he cannot be punish because of lack of evidence or political power.

Note down the date of pushing attacks in train and list down the similer names who were travaling on board (if you keep the record of names in issuing tickets) and bring them for questing also take some details from tea vendors in the train who regulerly travel selling tea for assestence. This may help to trace the killer...Don't wait for another push happen!!

This incident so much reminds me of the recent incident in which a businessman from mangalore lost his life after falling from train... Even he might have been pushed by a robber from moving train.. immediate probe need to be conducted on these 2 incidents.. Some notorious robber seems to be behind the previous incident even..
