Shobha’s death case

Responding to queries on the progress of investigation in the death case of Dalit girl Shobha, Assistant Commissioner of Police Kavitha said that the expert doctor’s opinion based on the post mortem report states that the cause for the death can not be ascertained.

Shobha (23) from Belthangady taluk died suspiciously at a city hospital eight months ago. She was serving as maid at a house in Shiv Bhag. Parents of the girl and Dalit leaders had demanded for the probe as the landlord family for whom Shobha was working, had not clarified the reason for her death.

As the report has not ascertained the cause for her death, the Police Commissioner ordered to take the second opinion of an expert doctor to find out the cause of Shobha’s death.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (Crime) Dharmaiah, DCP (Law and Order) Mutthuraya were present.

If “B” report is treated as not guilty, it means more than 50% atrocity cases are fake or filed to mollify someone. I think Dalit Leader wants everyone to be punished at their will as & when their demands are not met.
