Mangalore: Parents of Missing Teenage Boy Claim he Did Not Steal Money

Daijiworld Media Network – Mangalore (VM)

Mangalore, Nov 6: The parents of the 16-year-old Arman, who had reportedly gone missing after committing a theft at his own house, have denied that he stole money, and claimed that he had left the house with their permission.

The boy was said to be have stolen money from his house and left home in a car. He met with an accident at Anemahal in Sakleshpur, but later went missing. The parents had filed a missing complaint with the police.

Arman's father Mohammed Soorinje, resident of Noor Apartment in Attavar, denied that his son had stolen any money and said that he was given the money to spend.

"Arman left house on November 3 at around 7.30 pm with the Innova car. He carried Rs 20,000 along with him, which was given to him to spend. He did not steal from the house," he said.

On November 4, Mohammed Soorinje had filed a missing complaint of his son at Pandeshwar police station. He said that he did not mention anything to the police about the theft and that it was wrong news published in the media.

"The wrong news about theft was spread by newspapers as Arman fled from the spot after meeting with an accident at Sakleshpur. Police assumed that Arman must have the stolen money from our house and hence he ran away," he said.

As per the information received, Arman was last seen wearing black jeans and grey t-shirt. He can fluently speak Kannada, English, Hindi and Beary languages.

Anyone with information about the missing boy is requested to contact Pandeshwar police station on 0824-2220518.

If Arman's age is correct as in the news report, then a case should be filed against the owner of the vehicle for allowing a 16 yrs old to drive the vehicle and thus endangering his and other lives in danger..

Why police is not registering the case against the owner of the vehicle???

The boy is 16 years old. As per norms his father should be arrested for allowing a minor to drive. Just because you have a vehicle you cant allow your children to drive and endanger others live.

Poor fellow Arman! His RICH father gave him only Rs.20,000/- as pocket money? He should have been given Rs.20 lakhs, so that he could have very well enjoyed world tour with all his "teen-aged" friends! Araman's father is a true LOVING FATHER !!!!

Reading this sensational news, it is imperative that the authorities find out the source of income of this gentleman who states in public that he gave 20k and his Innova car to his 16 year old son?????? The teenager is of formative age and should not be blamed or punished for the mistake of his parents!!!!

Father himself confessing for his Son’s wrong doing. Son drove his Father’s car at the age of 16 means not legally bound to take license and drive the car. So, Father is liable for accident committed by his Son. So, Mohammed Soorinje Saab, forget about 20,000/- rupees and get ready to face the music of District Court for conviction and stay behind bar for 6 months & pay the compensation as ordered by the Court accordingly. “Love your children but not at the cost of others”

surely Arman's father Mohammed Soorinje is giving wrong statement now. May be his family members & friends told him to do so, to save Arman's as well as their family reputation.

It is any father's wish to give his son any amount of money to spend, but... case must be filed agaist Arman for driving at the age of 16. This is crime.

This is the way we try to protect our children. Whatever mistake commited by children, the parents try to sheild them. Whoever has the guts to say that their children commited mistake and should be punished for same and corrected to lead a just life in soceity. The soceity will be safe and happy.

If that is true, Mohammed Soorinje is to be arrested for giving a car to a boy who had no licence. (If he has one, it is a bogus one for sure!)
He has endangered the life not only of his son but also of people on the road.
I wonder who believes the cock and bull stories of the father of the boy... Too much money and ill gotten wealth for sure...!
