Mangalore: 3,300 Students Gather for St Aloysius PU College Sport Meet

Mangalore, Nov 16:
The 133rd annual sports meet of St Aloysius Pre-University College was inaugurated by Fr Edward Rodrigues, headmaster of St Aloysius high school at the Gonzaga grounds here on Friday November 16.

The chief guest declared the sports meet officially open by releasing the balloons into the air and prayed that the sports meets unite one and all and brings cheer.
 
The 3,300 students of PUC splendidly marched in their uniforms to mark the opening ceremony. The chief guest and other dignitaries including the rector of St Aloysius Institutions Fr Joseph Ignatius Rodrigues, Fr Elvis C Lewis, principal, Rekha K Alva, vice principal, physical directors like Naveen Kumar and Usha A J received the salute from the marching team.
 
On the occasion, the Aloysian flag was hoisted to mark the annual sports meet 2012-2013.
 
After the inauguration ceremony, students dispersed for the gala display of athletic talents throughout the day.
 
Sylvia Mascarenhas welcomed the gathering; Rohith and Radhisha compered while Usha AJ proposed the vote of thanks.

    I was present of the inauguration of SAC PUC sports at GONZAGA ground on 16th Friday morning. The NCC cadets march past was superb.
