Cuban Band Performs in Islamabad

Islamabad, Dec 9 (IANS): A three-member Cuban band has enthralled visitors in Islamabad's Nysa Lounge with a hearty mix of jazz and Caribbean rhythms.

A3's trombone player Ariel Perez, Ana Maria Califf on the Yamaha keyboard and Alberto Batista on drums were a unique company, the Dawn reported Sunday.

Cuban Ambassador Zenen Buerjo was among the guests at the lounge Saturday and was delighted to see young Pakistanis appreciate the jazz band.

"This is the start of a very good musical relationship between the peoples of the two countries," the ambassador said.
