Mangalore, Dec 18:
District president of Congress minority unit Moidin Bava on Monday December 17 condemned the attack on three mosques in the taluk and said that it was a heinous act aimed at disrupting religious harmony and peace.

Miscreants had pelted stones at mosques in Karnad, Mukka and Kulai in the wee hours of Monday.

"A fortnight ago some miscreants had placed a severed head of a hog near the Suralpady  mosque. Before that the severed head of a cow was kept near a Hindu religious place. I request all religious institutions to install CCTV in their premises so that the culprits are caught easily," he said.

"Today I had been to one of the mosques which was attacked and spoken to people who gathered there. I told them they should maintain peace, law and order in society and that god will punish the miscreants who committed the crime," he said.

"I even requested ACP to arrest and take action against the culprits. Congress minority unit condemns the incident."

Kodijal Ibrahim, vice-president of district Congress, Ashraf, former mayor, Denis D’Silva and J R Lobo were present.
