Daijiworld Media Network – Mangalore (DV)

Mangalore, Dec 29: After struggling for life for more than week, 23-year-old gang-rape victim, breathed her last at a  hospital in Singapore on December 29 morning.

Jarandhana Poojary, former MP, condoling the death of 23 year-old girl and said, "today the rape incident has shaken the world, shamed us in front of the whole world, we Indians should introspect ourselves about this incident.  The girl who fought for 13 days had a desire to live on this earth. She was a brave girl, who never gave up, although she faced a ghastly accident. Our judiciary system should give the justice for that hero who is no more with us."

"Women should be respected in this country but what is happening today. When cruel person who tries to molest a women, in such situation he should think of his mother, even she is women who gave birth to him.  We politician we assure to respect women but all politicians should follow that in action.  So the judiciary, police and even the judges should hold right prosecution and give right justices."

"So I request Sheela Dixit to build a memorial for the rape victim in Delhi and a day should be celebrated in her name, we should remember this courageous girl even in future days. Even in Kudroli temple in the name of Delhi rape victim on January 1st for 5000 people 5 kg rice is distributed for each individual."

Vijaya Kumar Shetty former MLA, Kallige Tharanath Shetty, Suresh Ballal, Badrudin were present at the press meet.

    Shri. Janardhan Poojary,
people want deterrent action, not memorials.
India is full of memorials, busts, images of political leaders and Gods.
Apart from its huge making charges, protection has become another law and order problem. POLICE are busy in protecting monuments, images and idols not LIVING humans.

Why dont you politicians see the big picture ???, first put your efforts to pass the strict Laws on rape "you can name the law after her as a memorial" just building a memorial at some place will not help.

Mr. Poojary we dont need any political support. If not for us the people of India, you would not be in position today. All we need is a SHARIA LAW. Read about the SHARIA LAW and kindly do so put max effort on implementing it. THIS WILL DO MORE GOod.

If given a memorial I would be very happy. But think of million girls who were raped in different states. In punjab a girl committed suicide for not even registering the case by police. Instead they too mocked at her. Atleast there was somebody to cry out for her justice. what about the ladies in other states? Our motive here is to prevent the further incidences not on making a political issue. First think of ur own state.
