Bangalore: Two Minor Girls ‘Raped’ in City on New Year Eve

Bangalore, Jan 2 (DHNS): As the City soaked in the New Year revellery on Monday, two minor girls were allegedly raped in DJ Halli and Machohalli Colony on Magadi Road.

An unidentified man raped eight-year-old Sabina (name changed) late on Monday in DJ Halli.

The police said that they have formed three  teams to trace the suspect as the girl does not know him and is unable provide any information that would be of help in identifying him.

“With there being no evidence, we are awaiting the medical report to ascertain if she was raped,” a police officer said, adding that the girl had been admitted in Ambedkar Medical College Hospital.

In his police complaint, Fayaz Pasha, 35, said that his daughter went to attend a New Year function in DJ Halli around 10.30 pm on Monday when a stranger took her away from the venue.

The complaint, quoting the girl, said that on the pretext of buying cigarettes, the stranger took her behind a private school and raped her.

“He gave her Rs 5 and asked her not to tell on him,” the complaint said.
The family said that they had gone to the police station at about 3 am on Tuesday but were asked to report in the morning as most of the personnel were deputed for the New Year security duty.

Pasha, in his complaint, said that they learnt about the ‘crime’ in the morning when Sabina had high temperature.

While Sabina’s case was of an unknown person taking advantage of the girl, in Machohalli Colony, 17-year-old Amoolya (name changed) was allegedly raped by Prakash 29, one of her neighbours. Amoolya, the police said, suffers from mental instability and can barely speak.

Prakash, who lived only two houses away from that of the victim’s, is married and has four daughters, the neighbours said.

“According to the information we have, Prakash took the girl from her house at about 6 pm and allegedly raped her near Puja Hospital in the same area. We have arrested him and sent the girl for medical tests,” an officer handling the investigation from the Madanayakanahalli police station said.

According to the complaint filed by Amoolya’s 60-year-old father Siddalingaiah, several villagers had seen Prakash taking Amoolya on his bike at about 6 pm.

“My son and I had gone to K C General hospital at about 9 am on Monday and when we returned home in the evening we did not find Amoolya. While we were searching for her, Prakash brought her back on his bike and told us that she was found walking alone and that he brought her back,” Siddalingaiah said in the complaint.

Siddalingaiah said that on questioning, Amoolya told him that Prakash had taken her forcefully. However, Prakash denied the charges. The police said the girl is speech-impaired and cannot speak normally. They are awaiting the medical report.

Speaking to Deccan Herald, one of the neighbours who did not want to be named, said: “We had seen Prakash take the girl. Her father and brother were not at home and her mother Manjula is bed-ridden after she injured her spine.”

This news is specially for those who blame the political parties when a crime occurs. My sincere advise here is don’t judge a person with this religion and party. Judge the person with his crime. Now coming to the point of rape case occurred in Bangalore , for first rape case her parents are held responsible for this nuisance. Was it necessary for her to go to celebrate at a new year party that too late night. If she really wanted to celebrate(against out ISLAMIC customs) , she could have celebrated at her home with her parents. What kind of father are you Mr Pasha. Follow Saudi rule in INDIA , especially dress code for womens and mens which will keep INDIA safe

You are what is wrong in this county. Now this rape is the FAULT of the FATHER? Because the father let his DAUGHTER ENJOY on a night MEANT for ENJOYMENT? With all due respect to Islamic laws and customs, I do not believe that women should be kept home at night. And I am not even saying that this is what Islamic laws say. I am merely commenting on yours, and the thoughts of most other men of the country. I am a woman. WE HAVE THE SAME RIGHTS THAT YOU DO. WE DESERVE THEM. THE CONSTITUTION OF INDIA GRANTS THEM TO US. We do not need "men" to grant them to us. We need them to respect our personal boundaries. Because by what you are implying, you are saying it will a girls fault if she's wearing a skirt and gets raped. You teach yourself and your brothers and your sons and your fathers to hear how high a girl's voice and what she's saying before seeing how high her skirt is. Don't blame the man whose daughter got raped, unless he's the one who raped her. The problem is in you, dear citizen, and your thoughts, which want to "quieten" down a women's voice, because in your head, you are still entrenched in your old customs, which believe that a woman should be within the four walls of her house.

Only solution is to follow Saudi Arabian Shariah law. In public by throwing stone on him till his death. That is why we can't hear rape cases in Saudi Arabia.

The whole population knows what happened on 16th of December 2012, concerning to this crime, everyone has a pity feelings, and by the time those who knew, whatever happened, it is against the humanism, and we should and must criticize this immorality.
But again some bizarre peoples yet perform such repetitive illicit crimes. I must say these felons should get death sentence without any court examination. In some of the part of the country state government just implementing new ways to avoid such crimes, and this is good move and especially for the ladies, the Maharashtra government started the buses only for ladies to travel with CCTV Cameras etc., but the Govt. is mute about the capital punishment.
Now a day’s RAPE, MOLESTING has become regular in India, and the Govt. is not judging of any capital punishment to these felons, and day after day people’s are protesting countrywide.
