Mangalore: Journalists Urge Fresh Probe into Home Stay Attack

Mangalore, Jan 3: A memorandam was submitted to the chief Minister of the Karnataka State, through the DC of Mangalore. The memo was submitted by the Dakshina Kannada Working Journalists Association, Mangalore.

The memo was against the arrest of Sharan, a videographer who shot the video of the Padil home stay attack. The association also urged for the re-enquiry over the case and to grant justice to the media.

DKWJA president, P B Harish Rai handed over the memo to the DC. Srinivas Nayak, Ramakrishna, Kiran Shirsikar, Venkatesh Bantwal, Yogeesh Holla, Suresh Kottari and others were present.

    Shettar Govt/BJP had two golden chance to show gentleman, transparency and democratic precedent
    1.Asking DCM,Ish to resign for corruption chargesheet by LOKA
    2.Withdrawal of serious criminal IPC slapped against media men simply for out revenge.

    These two issues are of high affecting issues as far as BJP, national party concerned.Some are how time is ticking fast so that BJP may loose the opportunity.

    Whether a dozen Vedikes formed to protest Morning Mist episode,Rachana,Jaago Mangalore etc.,also wish a fresh probe be ordered on the attack?We have not heard any birth day parties vedeographed/reported by medea men.Whether DKWJA feels that the party at Homestay was a gay party and not birthday celebration?Things are back firing now and fresh agitation by Vedikes on the cards?
