Kundapur, Jan 4: Two motorcycles collided head-on on the Gujjadi Mullikatte connecting road on Thursday January 3, killing one of the riders and injuring another.
The deceased has been identified as G Vasanth Nayak, resident of Gangolli church road.
As per the information received, Vasanth along with his wife Shyamala was riding towards Kundapur from Gangolli. Meanwhile, Mohammed Rafiq (30), Mohammed Irshad (26) and Mohammed Mashood were travelling on another bike from Gulvadi to Gangolli.
The impact of the incident was such that, Vasanth Nayak was killed on spot while his wife escaped with minor injuries. Pillion riders Mohammed Irshad and Mashood were injured badly while Irshad has been admitted to Manipal KMC hospital and Mashood to Adarsh hospital in Kundapur.
A case has been registered at the Gangolli police station.
