Mangalore, Jan 6: Kriye Prakriye, an exhibition of paintings by 45 artists of Karavali Chitrakala Chavadi(R), Mangalore has inaugurated by eminent entrepreneur Dr P Dayananada Pai of Century Group at Venkatappa Art Gallery on January 5 at 5:30pm.

Lighting the lamp he said that the coastal districts need to have a gallery like that of Chitrakala Parishath and Venkatappa Art Gallery for the promotion of art. And he said that he would provide all the necessary infrastructure and support for the same.

 
The commissioner of Dept of Kannada and Culture K R Ramakrishna, Lalitha kala Akademi president C S Krishna Setty and C Chandrasekhara, artist and former chairman of  Lalitha Kala Akdemi spoke on the occasion as guests of honor

Chavadi president Koti Prasad Alva, artists Ganesha Somayaji, Gurudas Shenoy, Chandranath Acharya, Dinesh Holla, Rajendra Kedige, Permude Mohan Kumar and Nemiraj Shetty of Hasta Gallery Projects were also present along with other members of the Chavadi.
