Mangalore: Music Fans have Gala Evening at Second Jackson Nite

Mangalore, Jan 6: Konkani enthusiasts on Sunday January 5 enjoyed an evening of peppy numbers led by the young voice of Jackson D’Souza.

The occasion was the second 'Jackson Nite’, a musical concert by the singer Jackson D’Souza staged during the 133rd Monthly Theatre at Kalaangann here.

The evening enthralled the audience with Konkani numbers performed by prolific singers like Rony Crasta, Pratap Menezes, Priya Menezes, Ashwin D’Costa, Benson D’Souza, Clement Fernandes and Maria Vas.

Soothing Konkani numbers like 'Tujo Ugdas', 'Chaar Vorsanso Mog', 'Sezra Gharchi Chali', 'Belita', 'Gaunche Doag Pivnde', 'Bapayche Sthan', 'Sadam Rakon Ravta', 'Ye Moja Moga', 'Aago Chedwa Tuje Fashion', 'Haryek Ghadi Tuka Dekthana' and others were performed.

Jackson D’Souza and his troupe had the audience literally dancing to their tunes as they electrified the atmosphere with some of Konkani’s greatest hits.

The entire programme was compered by Lloyd Rebello, Clinton Mascarenhas and Reshma Fernandes.

Roy Castelino and family were the sponsors of the evening.

Gavin Rodrigues and group enthralled the crowd with sensational dance performances.

The evening on the whole was a grand success, with the lively crowd enjoying to the hilt.
