McConaughey Returns to Healthy Weight

Los Angeles, Jan 9 (IANS): Actor Matthew McConaughey, who lost 38 pounds for his role as an AIDS patient in "Dallas Buyers Club", says he is just five pounds away from his goal weight of 165 pounds.

He is looking forward to having more energy to play with his children.

"I have less physical leverage, but my mind is way sharper. You know, I love to wrestle. It's a good time to wrestle me now. I was 135 pounds, and now I am up to 160 pounds, so I am done with that and on my way back," McConaughey told people.com.

The 43-year-old also revealed that he followed through on his plans to indulge on a cheeseburger once filming for the movie was completed.

"That was it. I got the cheeseburger, and then I sat there for 25 minutes and doozied it up," he said.

Father of three, McConaughey earlier said that his extreme weight-loss had taken a toll on his health.

"Your organs, muscles shrink, and my stomach has shrunk as well," he said.
