The speed control has to be given for Express buses specially. the word express is making drivers to move faster. speed control has to come in progress for all vehicles also for two wheelers.

This is not a mistake of Govt. Drivers must be careful about driving, why these fellows are used to overtake on the highways, God only knows, there is no need of widening the roads. All such controls only in the hands of drivers. Please tk cr of passengers.

The drivers should take extra care when they drive buses. The police must warn them when they give licence. Ask them never to drink and drive. Many drivers drink specially Mangalore to Mumbai and vice versa. If something happens whom to blame ??? When any accident happens those who are in the bus must tell the police what exactly happened. Then police can give a correct judgement.

All said and done I dont understand why some of us are busy blaming eachother.
Each passing day we got to try and mend fences and try to live in peace. Hindu Muslim or Christian, we are taught nothing but peace, peace and peace. We all are Indians and we call Gandhiji, father of our nation. He taught us all about Ahimsa. And we all go to church, temple and mosque, and come out and start our ugly tantrums at eachother.
Daijiworld unfortunately has become a forum for war of words. In particular, this one is for writing condolences for those hurt in the accident and to condemn the rash driving of the drivers and try and put some sense in the civil authorities of our system. But we are all busy venting whatever frustrations at eachother.
Yes I do have differences with BD. I hate everything they do, that is not related to social work. I hate when they invade privacy of someone's life. I hate when they act they are keepers of the ethics of the civil society. But yes I am thankful to them and pray God to bless them if they have donated blood to the accident victims as Vinay says.

Moodbidri-Mangalore road in fact converted to NH but only in the bill board.Lots of HP curves and having heavy traffic movements virtually makes passengers has always nightmare.Every 3 to 5 minutes there EXPRESS BUSES plying to and fro in this road so competition, maintenance of time @ the cost passengers are not new.RTO/NH/POLICE department need to look in to the matter @ least now onward.

Speed governor is the only solution to avoid such accidents. I have seen some Govt. buses in North karnataka with speed governors and this was way back in 2004 and this method proved effective in reducing no. of accidents involving KSRTC in bellary and suburbs.

Govt. is aware of such developments but the private bus owners seem have some concern on why not to install these speed governors

    Juliet,
good sarcasm. Probably this accident case is not of BD's interest.

The incident shows callous driving from the drivers. The wrong does must be penalized to set a good deterrence measure towards such incidents.

This would happen due reckless driving by private buses. Drivers and conductors of the private buses are so arrogant and they will not care for others. Two drivers had to be died. then at least other arrogant people like them will leant lesson. D.K is very nice place except private buses

Govt ( Transport Dept) should atleast *Fix Speed Lock * system, which locks the speed above 70kmph. KSRTC buses already have them installed, most TATA buses from india which are exported to Middle East are installed with this unit. However there are disadvantages especially on ghat sections, but who cares it really saves lives & fuel consumption is less. in UAE passing of heavy passenger transport vehicles is done only if speed locker is installed.

Govt should implement KSRTC in DK and UDUPI. Careless driving and lack of timing between buses causes these type of accidents.

These drivers honestly do not care for 'curves' , 'turns' and even 'speed breakers'. Mind always fixed on 'collection' and never mind the 'destruction' is their motto. Such accidents then are bound to happen. It's a 'virtual lottery' if you reach your destination safely in these buses.
