Doha: Tulu Koota to hold kabaddi tournament on Feb 22

Doha, Feb 19: The fifth Tulu Koota Invitational Kabaddi Tournament will be held on Friday February 22 at Al Jazeera Academy Ground. The match will begin at 7:30 am.

The draw of lots was held on February 16 at Maaza Restaurant, 7:30pm.

The main sponsor for the event is Chidanand Naik of Pallonji Qatar.
 
Tulu Koota president Seetharam Shetty escorted Chidanand Naik to the dais. Advisory committee and past presidents of Tulu Koota Qatar Ravi Shetty, Ramachandra Shetty and vice president Ashmat Ali (co-sponsor) were present on the dias.

The welcome speech was delivered by TKQ president Seetharam Shetty.

The participating teams are Tulu Koota Qatar (TKQ), Mangalore Cricket Club (MCC), Advanced Technical Service (ATS), Hindustan Sports Club (HSC), Karnataka Sangha Qatar (KSQ) and South Canara Muslim Welfare Association (SKMWA).

TQ sports secretary Sudhir Kumar read out the rules and regulations of the tournament and drew the lots for the matches. Kiran Anand assisted with the grouping.

Ravi Shetty gave a brief speech on the game of kabaddi and the pros and cons of playing a safe match with friendly environment. General secretary Sudhir Kumar was the compere for the event.

Asmath Ali delivered the vote of thanks and the ceremony concluded with dinner for all the invitees.
