Mangalore: Kasargod youth disappears mysteriously after arrival from Dubai

Daijiworld Media Network – Mangalore (SP)

Mangalore, Mar 26: A complaint about the mysterious disappearance of a person returning from Dubai has been filed with the Pandeshwar police station here. The youth in question is a native of Trikkaripura in Kasargod district, and reportedly, he has become untraceable after reaching the city by a flight on Thursday March 21.

The missing man has been identified as Mohammed Ashraf (24), son of Muhammed Kunhi, from Trikkaripura in Kasargod district. The family had received a call from Ashraf after he reached the city on March 21. He had called from a coin box near State Bank Circle in the city to inform the family of his safe arrival.

Ashraf is said to have informed the family that he would be visiting a friend named Munif in Bangalore instead of heading for his native place. He also conveyed similar information to a person named Ibrahim based in Dubai.

Muniruddin, uncle of Ashraf, who has filed the complaint, claimes that Ashraf neither reached his friend’s residence in Bangalore, nor came home. He explained that Ashraf, who is 5'9" tall and is of wheatish complexion with normal body structure, can converse in English, Hindi, and Malayalam. Ashraf had visited Dubai on a visiting visa about a month back to hunt for a job.

The police have requested the people to convey any information if they have or may come across, relating to the above person.

Case is mysterious. Either #2 business or deal gone sour. Cops will soon come out with explanation. Its also could be that he has been nabbed by NIA !

Where is Kasargod? Its an hour drive from mangalore and common sense says he should have gone to home and kept his belongings and meet family and then he could have planned a trip to Bangalore. If he had arrived in Bangalore airport then the sense says that he should meet his freind in bangalore and then make his further trip to Kasargod. So the current story doesn't fit exactly logically. Lets wait for further information and hope he reaches his home safe and sound.

@Rahil, agree with you. Another point is that, assuming he knows Mangalore, why he would reach SB circle to go to Bangalore. Is it more convenient?!!!

Whatever one's extra activities, after reaching India it is due duty to see his family first and his other activities later.A family worry/concern is the main cause here.

Strange and unprecedented for an NRI that happened in Mangalore. There could be LOVE affair or Family problem or # 2 business interest(After reaching Mangalore, instead of Home, he preferred to go friend's house which tells entire story and I think Managlore Police will have vital clue and lead already) .In all there cases he will surface in due course of time.If the issues are something other than above it would be a disturbing factor for family.Hope and wish he reaches Home soon.
